The Vrana Lake<\/strong> area is home to a large number of birds, and during the summer their population can reach up to 100,000 individuals<\/strong>. Out of a total of 251 bird species<\/strong> that live in the reserve or appear there periodically throughout the year, about 87 species<\/strong> can be found during the winter months. During migration periods, especially in summer and autumn, more than 140 species of birds<\/strong> temporarily stay at the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are even 13 species<\/strong> whose populations in this area are significant not only for their survival in Croatia, but also on a European and international level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this makes Vrana Lake an ideal location for bird watching<\/strong>. Birds can be observed around the lake, and for a better viewing experience there are designated observation points along the trails<\/strong>, which are part of the ornithological reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
